Under the microscope - Photoshoot

Motivational research

Psychameleon by Shane Turner 2013

A beautiful painting by Shane Turner called Psychameleon, painted in 2013. Clearly the image is a compound of psychedelic imagery and the chameleon, which blends into its surroundings, suggesting two conflicting visuals. http://www.shaneturnerart.com/"Psychameleon"  is a fabulous painting by Shane Turner, painted in 2013. The title is compounded of the words "psycedelic" and "chameleon", which in my mind is completely explanitary. A cascade of luminous colours within a blackened scape, expose a hidden form of a female, which, in conclusion,
suggests two conflicting visuals.

Paint Spatter by unknown artist

This image of spattered paint bears similarities to my subtraction dress print. My thoughts for my photo shoot are using some kind of smeared or trailing paint effect within the imagery. Artist unknown. #underthemicroscope #paint #inspiration
Neonic splashes of spattered paint dominate a black background, resulting in an explosion of colour which is very similar to fireworks in a display.

Galaxy

The idea of using a galaxy themed photograph is something I would definitely use.

Animal rights poster

I imagine a similar image within my photo shoot using a paint effect instead of blood. The image would not be so stark however, as it would be representational of my print, with bright neon colours. Artist unknown. #inspiration #photoshoot

Researching ideas for my photoshoot was essential, as they would inspire me to create my own images for my print dress or/and my subtraction dress. I began by investigating specific media online that had similarities, or at least reminded me of the print I had created on the fabric.
